2nd Agroforestry Collective Effort at CSAA Jardim das Delícias

CSAA
Community Supported Arts and Agriculture provides access to fresh organic food baskets to people doing regenerative actions.
On July 31st, we organized the second Agroforestry Collective Effort at CSAA Jardim das Delícias, located at Rio Bonito de Cima - Nova Friburgo city. 🌿

Once again, we opened our doors to neighbors and local farmers who were interested in learning hands-on how to manage an agroforest. It's always a great opportunity to have volunteers supporting our planting efforts, and this year we had around 25 participants.

To guide our practice and teach us Agroforestry techniques, we were privileged to have the esteemed presence of Denise Amador, Rodrigo Junqueira, and João Portella, our agroforestry experts who lovingly taught us about harnessing the sun and living in harmony with the earth.

It was a fertile day full of agroforestry management, harvesting, planting, music, and sharing. We asked the nature guardians for permission to get our hands dirty, experience agroforestry, and make art.

After all the agroecological and artistic activities, we opened our Muda stand to showcase the abundance of our network! During this time, we exchanged ideas, shared products from our platform, had a coffee, and chatted about social currencies, technologies, and our confluences. The participants were onboarded to our platform and rewarded with our social currency for their support in our planting effort.

For the second year of hosting this activity, we confirmed the importance of connecting with local partners and strengthening our presence in the territory, which is so important for our practice.
And by inviting them to our Muda network, we can incentivize the deepening and perpetuation of the connection, which can now be fostered digitally through the exchange of goods and services that we are glad to share locally because we have already built trust in the relationship IRL.
We plan to repeat the activation and agroforest planting effort next year. So Bloom members travelling through Brazil during late July, early August are welcome to join us :D
Together, let's continue with our agroecological and artistic work, full of celebration and circularity!
